It’s easy to let doubt creep in when we live in a world the forces us to accept everything. Coexist, just get along – don’t make someone uncomfortable. In a world where I’m told people are a standard, it’s easy to doubt the truth that I know because Jesus doesn’t fit into societies box.
I know whole heartedly Jesus is always the standard and that will never change. I know that He thinks about me more than grains of sand in the desert (Psalm 139:18). I know that He has plans for my life and will never fail me (Jeremiah 29:11).
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5 – 6
But in a world where I’m told to be independent and be an individual without being too extreme, it’s easy to doubt that faith isn’t enough. It’s easier to go with the crowd rather than chose to walk the narrow path Jesus calls me to.
He says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” – Matthew 7:13 – 14
Have hope that He will deliver you. Even the smallest seed of hope can move mountains, build cities and change the world. As quoted from this video, Jesus tells me, “When it feels like your drowning, I’m there. When I told you I would love you forever I meant it.”
So when you’re feeling like choosing what is easy instead of what it right and your overwhelmed with your suitcases of fear, know who you belong to. Jesus bought you at a price and has no intention of ever letting go.
