Today’s prompts:

- My creative well is replenished by…
- I can spend endless time combing through…
I find inspiration in discovering and exploring new places. There’s nothing more inspiring than seeing a new city or culture. When you take yourself out of your comfort zone, you’re forced to observe the world around you. It could be something as simple as visiting a neighboring state. Studying how different cities are within my own country is astonishing. Every place has its own identity including: clothing, foods, speech and temperament. I visited Spokane, WA recently and for the first time. I was amazed to see how friendly everyone was. In Vegas, saying hi or smiling at someone is basically a crime. But in Spokane, people willingly shared their lives. It was a culture shock to say the least.
My creative well is replenished by being around people much more talented than me. And by talent, I don’t specifically mean the next Michael Angelo or Steven King. Every person is talented on some level in many different ways. Some have gifts of patience, determination, love, kindness, drawing, painting, running, etc. A talent cannot be confined to a basic physical activity. I am inspired by individuals who dedicate themselves to perfecting their talents, whatever it may be.
I can spend endless time combing through photos of destinations around the world. My favorite part about the live Snapchat feeds is the ability to gain insight on different cities and countries across the globe. Although I may not be physically there, I can experience a little taste of that culture through that image or video. I may not even know their language, but I can share a moment in their lives.
