April is coming and that means baseball is finally back! I enjoy many professional sports including basketball and hockey, but baseball is by far my favorite. I grew up in a baseball home and my dad loved to share his love for the sport.
If you live in Las Vegas, you may be wondering “how can I enjoy pre-season without a professional team?” I can help. No, the MLB has not announced placing a team here in the desert. (I can only hope the Dodgers would move closer.) But, the Las Vegas Aviators have a brand new stadium!
This AAA team is brand new to the city and works as a farm team for the Oakland Athletics. They will be playing near downtown Summerlin in a state-of-the-art stadium. The family-friendly atmosphere is the perfect night out for all ages.
Never been to a baseball game? Boy are you missing out. Although it may be a little slow to watch on TV, being at a game is a whole new adventure. From snacks to cheering to watching your team score a run, there’s no place I’d rather be.
Starting April 24 and running every Wednesday, you can also bring your pup to the game! There will be a designated doggie area for your whole family to enjoy!
Opening day for the Las Vegas Aviators is April 9 and tickets start at $15. You can see their schedule here and start planning your visit. Make sure to bring a glove. You might be lucky to catch a foul ball!
