Every moment calls for it’s own attention. What I’m learning now, is being still and just listening for God’s voice is exactly what I need when I am feeling overwhelmed.
Sometimes it’s hard to know how to feel, how to react or even how to process what is going on. Many times, I stretch my brain to it’s end searching desperately for an answer. All the while, God is whispering ,”Be still, and know that I am God…” (Pslam 46:10)”Don’t worry, I’ve got it. Trust me.”
God wants me to step back and let him do his thing.“Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!” -1 Samuel 12:16
He’s calling me to be silent and listen because he has already seen the whole story. He knows the best routes and when to take them. But most of all, He loves me and will fight for me always.
So when I’m feeling stretched thin, I remind myself to keep still.
“The LORD will fight for you while you keep still.” -Exodus 14:14
