Today’s prompt:
- The reasons why I want to do this 30 Day Journal Project is
- If I simply showed up at my journal every day for thirty days, then…
The reason why I want to do this 30 Day Journal Project is to push myself to discover something new. I’ve always had a passion for writing and developed a love for blogging from a summer school class. The idea of creating something from nothing and allowing my voice to be free was thrilling. I discovered I was looking at the simplest things in a new light. Looking at the average and finding a story. I hope from this journey I will see my world in a new light and appreciate the world for its beauty.
If I simply showed up at my journal every day for thirty days, then I would be able to prove to myself I can persevere. By not giving up, I not only achieve a 30 day journey of writing but a new perspective on myself. Just showing up, even when I don’t want to will help me in the end. I can remember training one day with my cheer coach and feeling so exhausted. He told me something I would never forget, “If you can do it when you’re tired and don’t want to try anymore, you’ve perfected it when it really matters.”
“May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, always thanking the Father.” – Colossians 1:11-12
