“You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of the youth…” Ecclesiastes 1:19

Youth is a concept either seen positively or negatively. Some see younger generations as the key to the future. Others see them as the demise. It’s hard living in a world where you are judged by your age. Where the younger you are, the more you’re expected to accomplish but the less wisdom you’re assumed to have.

“Do not let anyone look down on your because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct in love, in faith and in purity.”1 Timothy 4:12

Every generation has its stereotypes. Mine, for example, is expected to seek fame and fortune and make every mistake possible. We expected to live compulsively and off of fleeting feeling.

“…Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgement.”Ecclesiastes 1:19

But there are a huge number of us who choose to seek God instead. There is a movement of younger individuals who are choosing to set an example and represent Christ. And this our time.
