30 Days of Creativity: Day 2

Todays prompts:

  • I feel joy when…
  • Things that move my soul…
  • The river moving in me is…

I feel joy when I can bring light to another even if it means a sacrifice. Imagine that feeling on Christmas morning. The snow is falling outside, hot cocoa is resting on the counter and Dad is filming ever waking moment narrating with corny jokes. As you rip through the carefully wrapped paper, that gift you’ve been dying for all year emerges. Joy and excitement overwhelms you and you let out a cry of victory. Imagine seeing this feeling on another. These are the moments I live for; God working through my life to bring others closer to his grace.

Things that move my soul are seeing God reveal himself in the most unlikely places. There always seems to be an individual in my life who seems to fall at every corner; bad luck is their middle name. But somehow in the midst of there storm, God carries them and reveals the beauty of his plan for their life.

The river moving in me is drawing me closer to the path God has slowly been revealing my entire life. As soon as I begin feeling overwhelmed and engulfed by this life’s crashing waves, He throws out a safety net and guides me back on the right path. God has not only delivered me the love of my life but continues to challenge me with opportunities to grow in my faith. With every step I take, I grow stronger and closer to the true destiny of my life.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  – Jeremiah 29:11
